Unilin Flooring produces laminate floors and engineered wood, including the Quick-Step® brand which is known worldwide.  In addition, the company also produces and markets the necessary accessories.

Production and sales :

Quick-Step® laminate floors are produced at three sites, one in Belgium and two in the USA.  Quick-Step® is sold around the world.

Quality is guaranteed by vertical integration
Vertical integration allows further development at each level of the production process. Unilin has its own HDF (High Density Fibreboard) plant in Bazeilles (F) and in Mt Gilead (USA). Unilin Flooring has in-house melamine production, its own resin lines and its own presses and milling equipment for the finishing of the planks.

Service
The fully-automatic distribution centre, CDC, in Wielsbeke (B) can store 22,554 pallets of laminate floor and as such can guarantee quick delivery to more than 100 countries.

Innovation and intellectual property
Continuous research and development has made Quick-Step® one of the top players in laminate floors. In 1997 Quick-Step® launched 'Uniclic': the first glueless click system integrated into the base board of laminate floors. Uniclic is patented worldwide. A series of aesthetic innovations then followed: V-groove, modified surface structures, narrow laminate planks in three lengths, patina effect, etc.

Marketing
Through strategic consumer campaigns and highly-developed point of sales communications in stores, Quick-Step® has become one of the most important brands on the laminate market. At the end of 1998, Quick-Step® began to sponsor professional cycling, first as co-sponsor and since 2003 as main sponsor, of the Quick-Step®-Innergetic Cycling team.
