From non-recyclable wood to green energy
It is our mission to keep wood in the supply chain for as long as possible. However, you can’t keep on recycling wood forever. Eventually the fibres get too small or simply get to the end of their life. But even then, we give it the wood another purpose by converting it into green energy.
Unilin Group has two green energy plants
Unilin Group currently has two green energy plants in a joint venture with green energy company Aspiravi. The two Belgian power plants provide two Unilin Panels production sites with a substantial part of their energy supply. They are the final piece of the puzzle in Unilin Group's circular approach to wood.
